Our ambition is that, by 2030, 70% of the net sales come from products that are healthier for people and the planet. We are systematically working to have impactful definitions and improve our products in a healthier direction.
- To define the goal regarding 70% sales from products that are healthier for people, we use the science-based front-of-pack nutrition label Nutri-Score's top two (out of five) A & B scores. We have a roadmap in place that guides our diligent work toward the goal, across several functions and levels.
- To define the goal regarding 70% sales from products healthier for the planet, we have defined the collaboration partner and platform, the research company HowGood. Through HowGood, we have assessed the ingredient-level impact across eight sustainability metrics: greenhouse gas emissions, processing/energy, blue water use, land use, soil health, biodiversity, labour risk, and animal welfare – focusing foremost, but not exclusively, on the farm level.
During 2025, we assessed over 2,500 Paulig products, covering around 90% of the sales (baseline 2024). During 2026, we will define a ‘planet healthier product’, create a roadmap toward the 70% goal, and continuously work on data accuracy.
