8.5.2024 Press release
Paulig is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its Classic range by introducing a new product to the market: Paulig Classic Aromatico. Paulig Classic is one of the most popular coffee ranges in the Baltics, first introduced in 2004. The product line has been specifically developed to cater to the local taste preferences of Baltic consumers, taking into account the local water texture and quality, which is an important factor in coffee making.

Well-known classic with a modern twist

Over the years, the Paulig Classic series has won the hearts of Baltic coffee drinkers, becoming one of the most-sold coffee brands across the Baltics. The series offers smooth-tasting, high-quality coffees that fit perfectly into everyday routines. The beloved coffee brand has expanded over the years with the addition of Classic Crema and Classic Cremoso products, and now welcomes a new member to the family: Classic Aromatico.

Paulig Classic Aromatico is an aromatic and full-flavoured coffee blend, roasted from the finest Latin American arabica beans and finished with intensive robusta. Its intense yet smooth taste and dark chocolatey nuances create a strong yet creamy body for the blend.

“Classic Aromatico offers new taste experiences with more intense and stronger flavours, catering to consumers' desire for variation in their coffee repertoire, especially among younger target groups. Paulig’s 148 years of know-how by developing coffee blends that consumers love and taste tests, which we conducted with different consumer groups, helped us to find the best product recipe for Aromatico”, says Eva Hopia, Paulig’s Coffee Global Portfolio and Concept Manager.

“The first feedback from our customers and consumers has been very positive. The product is available both in ground and in bean form. As beans are a growing trend in the Baltics, especially in Estonia, where many people love to have their freshly made coffee at home, we see a great potential for the Classic Aromatico beans. By innovation and expanding our portfolio, we offer various tastes and keep up the fresh element to always keep our consumers satisfied”, says Rainer Tammet, Paulig’s Retail Commercial Director in the Baltics

Quality that stems from sustainable sources

All of Paulig's coffee beans come from sources that have been verified as sustainable. This means that the coffee is sourced through verified sustainable partnership programmes or certified sustainable sources. All the company's partners in coffee production are committed to Paulig's procurement principles of responsibility. This means respecting human rights and the environment and developing good working conditions and production practices. In addition to procurement work, attention is paid to responsibility in the entire coffee value chain.

“Coffee farmers are almost always small family businesses, which are threatened by many things, such as climate change and lack of sufficient livelihood. At Paulig, we start from the fact that coffee farming needs to be profitable for the farmer. Sustainability work is always done on a long-term basis. Through our partnership projects in 20 countries, we have reached more than 100,000 coffee farmers to secure and improve their livelihoods”, says András Koroknay-Pál, who is responsible for purchasing Paulig's green coffee.

Available in the stores now

Paulig Classic Aromatico has an intense and smooth profile with dark chocolate taste nuances, which matches perfectly for example with carrot cake or chocolate with nuts. The coffee is available in 500g roast and ground and 1 kg beans and is perfect for brewing it with an automatic and filter machine or in-cup. The bright and cheerful colour of the packaging stands out and catches attention and can be found in the biggest supermarkets across the Baltics from the beginning of May.
