Paulig published its Annual Report on March 20th 2026 along with its Sustainability Report for 2025. The report describes in detail our progress towards Paulig’s Sustainability Approach 2030.

Highlights of the year 2025:

  • Paulig made significant strides in decarbonising its logistics operations: In Belgium, we introduced electric trucks and centralised warehousing just 6 km from the production site, reducing transport GHG emissions by approximately 100 tonnes of CO₂e annually. Paulig also transitioned its ocean freight for green coffee and spices to biofuels, achieving a 40% reduction in related emissions – saving around 2,000 tonnes of CO₂e.
  • Increased positive advocacy presence: Our Public Affairs team strengthened our role as a proactive and constructive voice in various policy dialogues. Our engagement was focused especially on advocating a predictable and sustainability-driven operating environment for the food and beverage industry.
  • We advanced our nature strategy by completing a comprehensive project to evaluate our dependencies and impacts on nature and further sharpen mitigation actions. The initiative prioritised mapping ecological hotspots across our global supply chains, identifying areas where our operations most critically impact nature.
  • Strengthening our climate ambition: Paulig revised and received revalidation for our climate targets as part of the mandatory five-year update cycle for the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The updated targets have been set in line with the new Forest, Land, and Agriculture (FLAG) methodology, including emissions from land use change, land management and biogenic removals.
  • Advancing toward 100% verified sustainable sourcing: We made strong progress toward this, achieving 98% verified sustainable sourcing for our top six spices.
  • Strengthening supplier collaboration on human rights: We continued human rights impact assessments at our contract manufacturing suppliers in Thailand. The assessments strengthen supplier collaboration, build scalable models for future evaluations, and reinforce compliance with evolving human rights and due diligence regulations.
  • Empowering sustainable choices through increased product-level transparency: We strengthened our partnership with HowGood, a sustainability research and technology company, to enhance sustainability insights across our product portfolio by leveraging their leading sustainability food database and life-cycle assessment methodology to over 2.500 of our core products.
